Whistleblowing Policy

UK Muslim Management Council (UKMMC)

1. Purpose

UKMMC is committed to transparency, integrity, and accountability. This policy enables staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to report concerns about wrongdoing without fear of retaliation.


2. What Can Be Reported

Concerns may include:

  • Fraud or financial misconduct
  • Safeguarding issues
  • Abuse or harassment
  • Breach of law or regulations
  • Corruption or unethical behaviour
  • Health and safety risks
  • Mismanagement of charity funds

3. Who Can Report

This policy applies to:

  • Staff
  • Volunteers
  • Trustees
  • Contractors
  • Members of the public

4. Reporting Procedure

Concerns should be reported to:

UKMMC Compliance Officer or Trustee Board

Reports can be made via:

Reports can be made confidentially.


5. Protection for Whistleblowers

UKMMC will ensure that individuals who raise genuine concerns:

  • Are protected from victimisation
  • Are treated fairly and respectfully
  • Will not suffer retaliation

Malicious or knowingly false reports may result in disciplinary action.


6. Investigation

All reports will be:

  • Taken seriously
  • Investigated appropriately
  • Handled confidentially
  • Reported to authorities where required

7. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed annually by UKMMC Management.
